What does “agnostic” mean in your investment philosophy?
We are not bound by a single sector, market, or stage. Instead, we evaluate opportunities based on merit, vision, and scalability — whether that’s a seed-stage SaaS startup, a growth-stage fintech company, or a mature real estate development.
Where does the name “nø cap ventures” come from?
The name carries three layers of meaning:
In modern slang, “no cap” is used to mean “no exaggeration” or “no pretence” — reflecting our philosophy of authenticity and straightforwardness in building ventures.
“no cap” also signifies “no ceiling” or “no limit” — expressing our ambition to pursue opportunities without boundaries across industries, geographies, or stages.
Finally, “cap” references capitalisation — the foundation of private equity and venture investing, and a nod to our focus on structuring and scaling ambitious companies.
Together, nø cap ventures represents an authentic, limitless, and capital-driven approach to building and backing bold ideas.
Investment Approach
What types of companies does nø cap ventures invest in or build?
We focus on “underdog ventures” — underestimated ideas and underestimated founders who challenge norms. We invest in early-stage startups, growth equity opportunities, and scalable businesses where conviction, innovation, and execution can create outsized returns.
Do you invest only as a financial partner, or do you also build companies?
We do both. nø cap ventures is both a venture builder and an investor. In many cases, we co-create companies from scratch, acting as operator and investor simultaneously.
Do you lead funding rounds?
We usually co-invest alongside trusted partners. For larger rounds, we syndicate capital through our ecosystem of private investors, family offices, and institutional partners.
How do you source investment opportunities?
Through our founder ecosystem, in-house ideation, partnerships with incubators, accelerators, and referrals from trusted networks. We also generate deal flow via our own proprietary scouting tools.
What is your investment horizon?
We take a long-term view. While some projects are more opportunistic and scale within a shorter time frame, many of our ventures are structured for sustainable value creation over 5–10 years.

Unlike traditional PE firms, we don’t just inject capital. We actively operate ventures — meaning we work side by side with founders on product, execution, and scaling.

We build and use proprietary tools like nø ledger (AI-enabled wealth management automation), venture tracking dashboards, portfolio management systems, and investor reporting platforms.
Who can access nø cap ventures’ tools?
Some of our tools are exclusive to our ventures, while others (like nø ledger) will be available to early adopters and external businesses via allowlists and early access programmes.

nø cap ventures operates globally, with a strong base in Luxembourg and London, as well as additional presence through our network across Europe, Asia and the US.
Do you only invest in Luxembourg companies?
While Luxembourg is our home base and holding jurisdiction, our ventures are international. We invest in and build companies in London, Berlin, Paris, Singapore, and beyond.
How do you handle cross-border structuring?
We specialise in setting up efficient HoldCo-OpCo structures, international tax planning, and governance frameworks. This allows our ventures to scale internationally without friction.
What type of investors do you work with?
We collaborate with a diverse range of investors — private investors, family offices, UHNWIs and HNWIs, and institutional partners — depending on the venture stage, needs and strategy.

Who founded nø cap ventures?
nø cap ventures was founded by Felix Hemmerling, a builder–operator–investor with a background in finance, FinTech, RegTech and – more generally – entrepreneurship.
What is the founder’s background?
Felix Hemmerling studied at Singapore Management University (SMU) in Singapore and University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland, launching his first venture while a student. His career has spanned private equity and finance, FinTech/RegTech, SaaS, and creative industries.
What is the vision for nø cap ventures?
We believe that underestimated ideas and underestimated builders can transform industries. Our mission is to identify and support those opportunities, bridging capital, creativity, and operational expertise.
